Face-card diversity
for classroom activities

I was asked to create custom face-cards that could be downloaded copyright free for teachers to use as part of their classroom grouping strategies and other activities. It occurred to me that traditionally these cards are represented by upper class Europeans from the middle-ages. I decided if I was going to the trouble of redrawing the archetypes for a modern classroom that it would be more appropriate to feature medieval class members from cultures world wide.

Also of note, I used the shape of the suite as the starting face shape for each character.

Alphabet cards for

St. Monica's School, Gulu

The women learning English at St. Monica's School chose an image to represent each English letter. Initial sketches were drawn by their instructor. I digitally created the final, reproducible artwork as shown.
